Description
well you hardly see a peony without ants ..most annoying if you bring them into your home ! they are attracted to a sweet nectar apparently on the flower

Stunning capture Lucinda.
Excellent!
ooo!!! I want to see it when it opens!!! :)
Awesome close-up... speaking about ants, I'd rather love to see the flower with bees instead of those little crawling ants... :D
Fantastric image!! :)
Life on another planet...or is it life on another plant? LOL Good clarity!
bonne photo!
I think they need the ants to open the blooms. Years ago I had them next to the house and ended up with ants in the house until someone told me that and I got rid of them.
Brilliant photo....very well done....!!!
Superb macro and details!!!
How interesting! I have ants on lots of things but not these..yet!
Super cool image and clarity on those ants! Can't wait to see the peony when it has opened!
A rarity in my experience, great shot, i think emerging blooms are quite often more interesting than the final outcome.
