Description
I really just wanted to play around with some crazy lighting tonight as well as Richabri's great V4M4 poses. So I decided to stray a bit from 'realism' in lieu of color play . . . Somehow this looks a little too 'romance novel' to me, but this has nothing to do with the pose set (which is completely AWESOME!) . . . me thinks it's my choice of colors in the postwork. May try playing around with it some more & see what happens . . .

Excellent light and effects! Nice work!
This image reminds me of me and MachosReina... I always tought God put her in my path to rescue me....
After going back and forth a few times I come to see that I like them both for different reasons. Sometimes we get snagged on a particular process or feature during production and this really effects our eyes for a while when looking at the finished result. There is a chubby folder of images that I've completed but never shown anyone else because they don't "feel" or "look" right to my eyes. I return to this folder now and again to see if my eyes have given any of these images a reprieve; if so, I post the poor one months or half a year after I created it. Maybe it is like this for you just now. Three aspects win me over here: the overall warmth of the scene, the perspective and her expression. If his expression was of any significance I imagine you would have shown it to us. ;-) It's no secret that I adore warmth in my images. It's been said that I illuminate my portraits with firelight which makes sense to me. I know from experience that we tend to draw physically closer to artworks that emenate warmth. If you could see them, you would find your viewers leaning in to this work across their desks. The point-of-view is cinematic and a bit voyeuristic which is fitting for this scene ... don't we all gaze at lovers? Her expression can be read in a number of ways, which is good. Viewers like room to inject their own ideas and sentiments into art. Is it concern we see?.. and for him or herself? We might guess this from the title but it is stated from his perspective. Her face seems to communicate something else .. or does it? This puzzling is what makes the work successfully interesting. There is definitely more depth to this image than one finds on the cover of a Romance novel. Terry
