Look To The Past
We should look to the past,
Maybe we’ll find some answers.
Our early fathers of this land,
Were better as nature’s enhancers.
They knew how to care for this country,
Without depleting all it’s resources.
They lived off what they produced,
Never looking to outsourcers.
They never killed God’s creatures,
Just for a pleasurable sport.
Their only reasons for hunting,
Was a matter of their life’s support.
They didn’t know how to hate,
Or senselessly kill their fellow man.
This concept was taught them
By those who invaded their land.
Maybe in today’s uncertain world,
We should look again to the past.
We might learn something for back then,
That could bring about a world that last.
They would teach how to respect
Our resources, not throw them away.
They might teach how God’s creatures
Are beautiful treasures in every way.
They could teach us how we can love,
Not spread inhumanity and hate.
They might tell us of the “Higher Power,”
God can ultimately change our fate.

Wow. Native American theme with a modern twist in the outfit. Very nice!
Very nice image and poem. I don't know, though, if the notion that the Native Americans didn't know how to hate their fellow man isn't just way too romantic to be true. Indians routinely warred against each other over resources and also remained struck in an endless cycle of intertribal vendetta wars - a thing that kept them until the very end from uniting against the white invaders. Indians repeatedly volunteerd as scouts against enemy tribes and displayed often much more cruel ways of fighting (i.e. killing women and children) than their bluecoat allies when attacking enemy Indian villages.
