Description
here is some laughts I get when i see tree roots shows above ground. In 3d art areas when people have tree roots showing people is fast to point it out to the new artist. I say to myself the trees in Bryce have roots for a reason. to show off like these real trees in the real world do other wise the 3D makers would not hade made the trees with roots. That was a long time ago and some times I still see in comments saying the artist messed up by showing the tree roots. anyway they good too to show water hitting rocks just turn the texture to water and turn the tree upside down...just a idea.
anyway this was at a park that needs to be work on. I got big oak tree with people sitting on them to show too.
I was in Breaux Bridge today and took a lot of photos. it wonderful to go away and come back and see things you took as a gain of salt... all look new now. This was in lafayette. the army corp did work on this pond many years ago. it needs to be work on again if you ask me ; like new dirt put in so the trees will not fall down.

GORGEOUS CAPTURE...THAT MEAN NOT MUCH RAIN...FAV
Wonderful shot, Jocko and a very good point about tree roots. If people spent more time outdoors, they'd see that all trees have their roots showing in one form or another
Concordo. Que captura soberba, uma aula de arte da natureza meu amigo, fantástico, aplausos (5)
Root, root, root for the home team! A cool and very interesting shot of the tree and roots, Jock. I didn't even know this kind of stuff went on.
That is so true jock!
I don't know, Jock...I love going down to the river and seeing the old trees with the roots exposed. Some will fall each year in the spring with the snow melt bringing rushing river water down, and those fallen giants give shelter to new fish and waterfowl. I am all for giving some help to mother nature but in the end, I like her to have her own way. I do like the tangle of roots here. See how the birds curl into them? A perfect place to call home.
Wonderful spot for the ducks! Cool shot Jocko :)
The roots are getting enough water so that they don't have to grow into the earth to find water. I like this combination of trees, roots, birds and the little island that they all live on. Dana
Excellent!
Not sure why these roots don't want to get their feet dirty? But its interesting to see them like this... Nice capture. Aloha
Beautiful capture! That is one tangled mess of roots. :)
Fantastic capture!!
Great capture here Jock, this reminds me a lot of the trees I used to see in Mexico City where the water had washed away all the soil.
I am so glad you said that jocko because I did a bryce once and made my trees come out from under and got bad reviews lol:: Amazing,,, love those birds so cute !~
Marvelous! Love it!
Nice breeding place & wonderful picture!!!
Fabulous shot jock, great looking scene!
thanks for pointing this out,i always try to hide the roots for that reason this here looks cool man.
exposed roots is a way of life every where, including human roots.
So cute! A very nice shot of this 'settlement!' (:
excellent photo capture, and ur right about being criticized for not perfecting ur work!:)*5
Cool shot Jock, & yes, I remember certain tree comments...I should do another one; drive certain viewers batty, pun intended. :D

Another shot about the real nature !!! great thanks Jocko !!!
Cool work Jocko...!!!
Wonderful photo. Funny about the roots, I'd never seen the criticism before. I just purchased some tree roots from c3d, that I plan to use in a scene soon. Anyway, the ducks here seem to be enjoying them completely. Very nice photo.
Great shot!!
These are some really fascinating roots on the trees. I wonder how the trees grip to the ground. Great shot!
