Description
Why would they wish to build big houses like this on the beach? This area is know of getting wash away every 10 to 15 years or sooner. That why they just had shacks there before. Now they have to have these type of houses build hurrcane proof...hahahahahaah i saw these type down there before but they gone from the last hurrcars that hit there 5 years ago.
No matter what we build nature is takeing it down. Yes these house is good but I would not have one. If I had the money I still would not build one here. I may have a RV there and that it.

There are architects that have designed structures to deal with flooding, and hurricanes, and weather of all sorts, even earthquakes. I believe that they have a sample structure somewhere in Carolina at or near the beach. Looks great when you ZOOM'N.
"Safe upon the solid rock the ugly houses stand. Come and see my shining palace, built upon the sand." (Edna St. Vincent Millay) Which is all well and good as long as you don't whine for a rescue when the hurricanes hit. When you live for the moment, security is very uncertain. Great image and commentary!
lovely scenery!
