Description
Rendezvous and Capture
Waiting in low Earth orbit for the CRC test vehicle to arrive after separation from its ARES booster is the Orbital Shuttle Discovery.
This next phase in the flight will test the ability of the shuttle crew to use the two new robotic arms to capture payloads sent into space using Carters "Inertia Method".
Closing in on the CRC test capsule the crew slowly manoeuvre to the front of the capsule, match speeds with it and position the claws on the arms for capture.
As the CRCs forward inertia finally dies, and the craft comes to a halt and is only seconds away from Earths gravity taking hold of it and dragging it back into to the upper atmosphere, the Discoverys crew grab the capsule and manoeuvre it even higher in its low Earth orbit.
To be continued next week.

The technicalities of this are scary, but you make it so interesting and fun.
