A little bit of light to wish you both a Happy Birthday...and a little birthday mystery for you to solve:-)
As photographers we are always looking for something no one else has done or a different way to display it. There is a great lesson in this image, particularly for native people...If you know what this is please do not put the answer in your comment but site mail it to me instead because I have a followup image to put up in a couple days and will give the answer then.

I have no idea what this is, but it's quite lovely! I'm thinking it's something alive, and something that I'd probably want as a pet, but beyond that I have no clue as to what it could possibly be. As a birthday dedication it's quite perfect in every way and I love the details. Superb. It's funny how the structure of these things reminds me of the quality of wax that bees use for making honeycombs. This is superb!
