Description
found this beauty?! sitting outside of a place called Old Car City on a drive home from Atlanta one day, unfortunately when I went by the place was closed but they had quite a collection of older cars inside I would have loved to have gotten a look at..
anyone remember this great old song?? song and lyrics Johnny Cash if you haven't heard it click video below, great old song.
WELL SORRY I WAS TOLD TO REMOVE THE LYRICS, if you want to hear the song click on the video below, thanks.
"One Piece At A Time"
Well, I left Kentucky back in '49
An' went to Detroit workin' on a 'sembly line
The first year they had me puttin' wheels on cadillacs
Every day I'd watch them beauties roll by
And sometimes I'd hang my head and cry
'Cause I always wanted me one that was long and black.
One day I devised myself a plan
That should be the envy of most any man
I'd sneak it out of there in a lunchbox in my hand
Now gettin' caught meant gettin' fired
But I figured I'd have it all by the time I retired
I'd have me a car worth at least a hundred grand.
[CHORUS]
I'd get it one piece at a time
And it wouldn't cost me a dime
You'll know it's me when I come through your town
I'm gonna ride around in style
I'm gonna drive everybody wild
'Cause I'll have the only one there is a round.

Superb mix of chrome and rust, excellent photo.
What a contrast to yesterday's photo..great shot, Lynell!!!
great photo and song!
Yes cal, an rel hail tenn. Talk about opisites, your previos graphic vs. negelect, quite execellent. You apply your craft so, well!
Love that song! This car makes me want to cry and scream to the heavens to get help restoring it.
outstanding capture!!!
Splendid composition and colors my friend
Other then surface rust, it looks like a great one to restore and yes I remember the song ( I just don't Remember what I did yesterday }....lol
Really nice shot. Great textures and lighting!
Wonderful find. What amazes me the chrome still in a very good condition.
Wonderful photo!!!
Cool shot!!
an excellent shot of this derelict beauty!
There is nothing, that a little TLC, rust converter & a pot of paint can do, to make it look like new... but on the other hand - it even looks good as an old relic ! precious memories for some, BB
She is awesome! But... Weill she make it to helen? :) Awesome shot!
Hey, that ain't no Chevy! I thought you were an all Chevy lady! Cool capture of the rust bucket, Lynell, but, how could anyone, in their right mind, let such a classic go to pot like that? And, that is serious oxidation. Plus, 29-inches of rain in Tennessee, especially in Nashville, with dozens of people killed. The world gone amok.
Awesome! Well Done!
nice capture lynell beautiful car..
ahhh if that ol' caddy could talk, what tales it might tell... great shot hon! xo
Superb POV and capture! Other then the paint job, it looks mint!
LOL.. I remember that song :) Super shot of this rusty relic.
Now that's a classic!
LOL I remember that song! I applaud him for being so creative. I also applaud you for such a great image. I think the rust just gives them character!
A definite WIP. This would be a long term fixer-up-er. Sweet capture. Dana
That is one great shot such a contrast to yesterday's shiny well cared for car. Still look how well it's held up. Great shot.

Great shot.
