I decided to add the girl after all, since I was having fun.
I changed quite a bit on this version...

This is great, very creative. Love the expression/pose on the dragon.
Dragon looks pissed, but I'm sure in the next shot we'll see the dragon with a big goofy grin, licking the face of the girl while she scratches him behind the uh . . . horns. "good boy, inferno! Good boy! Who's a good dragon? Who's a good dragon?" Heh, great work dude. I like the over the shoulder approach in this one.
