The title comes from the words of a famous song to reach success in the world by the great tenor Beniamino Gigli. In Italy is mainly associated with the singer Nilla Pizzi.
The song was clear political references (the tall poppies)
Qui sotto una frase dellautore della canzone
Below is one the author of the song
(Mario Panzeri)
"The text of Poppies and ducks was suggested to me
the pomposity of certain political figures.
I believe that even with a simple song
you can do satire of manners. "

I have to agree with Mermaid, it is a very poetic shot. The POV and the lighting are just spectacular. Wonderful work on this beautiful flower.
Beautiful colors and wonderful photo.
Bella immagine! Io amo i papaveri ballare! Buona giornata This is a beautiful image that wonderfully illustrates the song. There are even little daisies! ("Daisy you were born, what you gonna do?") and wheat. I looked up the song and found a translation. Tell me if I understood the translation correctly. The little girl is being told that she can't change the fact that she is small and must accept her station in life. The poppies are high and filled with self importance but the field of wheat, like the working man, is holding up the Poppies (the politicians), but when the wheat field is cut, the poppies have no support and fall down. I did not understand the part with the duck, though since it talks about a marriage, I'm guessing it has something to do with political alliances. The POV is perfect! The poppies look like they are full of importance and showing off. They are very beautiful too and without the song, I would think them inocently dancing in joy of life. They look wonderful against the tall mountains that are made small by their distance and the POV. This is another meaning. The mountains which look so small are like the common man, who is has small power individually and seems small, but when joined together can change the world. Beautiful image! I love the dancing poppies!
