Description

A none too happy, crabby and morning sick Isabella began to wonder what she had gotten herself into. For centuries she'd avoided romantic entanglements, the Templar of Majiks Guardianship the only thing she needed to feel a sense of purpose. Just what was it about Aaron that caused her to risk everything? Was it his charming innocence and contradictory wisdom-beyond-his years demeanor? Whatever it was, it had lead her into trouble. She used to be the one other guardians aspired to be like--now she had fallen from grace for something as pedestrian as love. Whats more she had gotten herself all knocked up-- How did that happen again? "Penny for you thoughts" Aaron asked, his eyes shining with a mixture of mirth and concern. "You could easily just read my mind if you wanted..." "Well, maybe I don't want to do that..." He replied, sighing as he sat down on the bed beside her, "look, I know there are things you still aren't telling me. I'll wait until you feel its right to reveal them. I also know that you are less than enthused about the baby...in light of everything--I can understand that as well, but...Issa--I can't help it. I'm happy about it. The world can go to hell. I love you. I'm happy about it." Issa could see that Aaron, despite his brave words was hurt. She couldn't blame him--she had yet to even confess her own feelings of love to him. And he, honorable mage that he was, did not wish to plunder her mind and soul for answers but let her have her ideas, thoughts and feelings to herself.... or maybe he was just afraid of the answer... And really, when she looked at the situation, she had to ask herself if was it her duties as a Keeper/Slayer that was holding her back from disclosure?
