Description
Juvenile Red-shouldered Hawk
(Sunset Landing at Lake Jackson)
This is the same hawk as my past post. I was mistaken on it's ID, it's not a Cooper's Hawk.
Hope you all enjoy and please zoom.
Thanks for the comments.

So majestic in its own way isn't he? Beautiful capture!:-)
what a beauty, I remember very well getting the chance to see one of these in the wild recently and having my camera with me to be lucky enough to get a photo, they are truly thrilling to watch. Great job on this. And I had to look up the breed too.
Very well captured - just look at those talons.
Wow--what a shot---there's some kind of hawk that perches on the highway light poles around here, but I'm always driving by, well, rather fast, so it wouldn't matter anyway!!
A handsome portrait to show off it's markings.
