Indeed it is!
Anyhow this tool was modeled for last month's Wings3D challenge and got first. And now I finally got around to making a half-decent render of it.
Now the secret to the gears is... Being very lucky with guesses involving multiples or factors of 360. That and clever use of all the neat tools added to the software in the last year and a half or so.
Tweaking Carrara to get the render right took 19 trys. Now it's good enough. :D
I put it over at the 'squid in .obj for $15. Seems reasonable enough compared to similar items.
