Description
In my previous post, I showed a foto of the ashes of a friend's house. It burned Wednesday morning. I went up there today, and we walked and talked and spent a great day---fire be damned!!
This wood stove (notice the brand name---Intrepid--talk about perfect!!) survived the fire nearly unscathed. It's a beautiful blue enamel, and just sat right in the corner where it belonged. Not much else was left, but fortunately, my friend had the special things in another place.

It looks like 'Intrepid' wasn't the source of the fire. It is a rather stately object!
The Intrepid here is a survivor just like many of us have to rise out of the ashes from time to time! This is very symbolic!
Lovely fireplace in amongst the fire.. Nice close up capture.
oh my what a symbolic shot, glad your friend had his special things at another place and hope he will be able to rebuild his home again
Wonderful advertising for the company!
Gorgeous image and a great capture !!! Excellent made :) 5***** Hugs Karin :)
They are built to last! But bad luck is tied to that name. ;) Excellent capture!
Good capture of the Intrepid, surrounded by ashes and debris, Maz. I was wondering what it was in your first fire foto. I thought it was an old tube radio at first.
Amazing that it is apparently undamaged!
Intrepid indeed! Luckily it survived like the valuable things kept elsewhere! This is a marvelous shot and I'll bet that brave and enduring little stove will become the centerpiece of a new home (at least I'd hope!) I love the light in this as well...it's gorgeously captured!
What a beautiful piece of ironwork. Intrepid, indeed!
Still standing. Interesting capture. Aloha
All three of your "fire" posting are very powerful and with all this destruction, your friend is safe and that is all that matters. The wood stove looks untouched. Wonderful series. Dana
