Description
in some ways... it's about perspective...as we look into our past, hard edges grow soft, soft edges become the stuff of dreams...buildings are memories, built piece by piece, timber by beam, floor by walls. Structures of support, strengthening, reaching out.... memories are a place to live,as are houses... as memories get old, some things get grey, blistered, weathered...
perspective...

This prods the mind to search for what is not there...the days before this one. Great pov and composition.
I like how this image expresses the "better days" theme you've been developing. The run-down shack, dieing grass and weathered fenceposts just hint at what this place once was. Well done.
As I look at this and read your words, I think of the family that purchased this land and built their home and livelihood here. I am sure they had both hard times and wonderful memories.. Great series.
This is a great series you've been posting!
wonderful story telling photograph! RS
Time comes to asll things, even memories fade.
The narrative in your photograph and the addendum text haunt the mind. Bravo! +5 from doarte's MADHOUSE
Another great capture of your wonderful series my friend.
Wow! Awesome shot!!
fabulous capture!!
SUPER, SPECTACULAR SHOT!!! YES I THINK THE HUT SAW BETTER DAYS... IT MAKES ME SAD TO SEE THESE OLD ABANDONED BUILDINGS.
This is a great composition, Colin... love the natural look of old wood, it has character... pity, that there is nobody to renovate it, to bring it back to life, I know I would...if not - well, then it's a sentimental journey for some. BB
Manny winter erosion... Superb shot Collin
A bit how I feel...blurred and weathered ! The two power poles in the background look like a couple of very skinny wraiths, which is quite fitting ! Well done & ~Cheers~
