Description
Two days ago one of my colleagues a senior on the turbine floor contacted me via internal phone and asked me if i have my camera at work which i did.Went down to the turbine floor and my colleague showed me the location of the spider.I took a series of captures of it and did so yesterday again with much better results as the lighting conditions were much better. Here is one of the captures.I will return to the zoo series tomorrow.Hand held capture.Used macro function on my Sigma Lens as well as pop up flash. This is a female Golden Orb Spider.O yes and as Carin said this is a lady. This is the female Golden Orb Spider. The male is brownish and much smaller.

What an elegant weaver this creature is! I love the colors and the details. Your gallery has plenty of snakes and spiders in it, which appeals to me. I adore such creatures to no end! This is a beautiful shot! Fantastic!
