Description
This is a White Ibis and they are very common in South Florida. I have watched flocks of 40 to 50 of them, move across our lawn, using their curved beaks, to find and eat grubs and worms. Occasionally they will catch a gecko but this morning, I watched them fish along the shoreline of a marsh. They are about 25 inches (64cm) long with a wingspan of 38 inches (97cm).

Oh he is a beauty with such sexy blue eyes Dana! LOL... Excellent capture my friend! We have some of the black and white ibis over here! In the Woodlands area where my office is we have one with a broken wing who always hangs around our canteen area. I call him Scruffy - as he always looks so unkept!!
Wonderful capture, Dana

The white ibis was one of the birds I enjoyed most when I visited my folks in Florida. They were everywhere. Love how you got the beak so clear in this shot.

A very strange but beautiful bird, nice shot.
Lovely pic!
What a cool shot of this bird; we don't have them here! Our most exotic bird seems to be the elusive blue heron...
wow...very neat bird...is his beak normal? I don't see how he can catch anything...great capture though!
Beautiful picture my friend, nice shot.
W O N D E R F U L I M A G E !!!!
Ultra sharp, detailed, and with superb lighting effects in this shot of the magnificent Ibis, sacred bird of the Nile, Dana! I saw a few of these at the Los Angeles Zoo, but they were too far back in their cages to photograph.
Wonderfully captured!
Beautiful image Dana, splendid bird and shot! Sorry my friend about the delay with the comments, I was traveling.
Beautiful bird. Fabulous capture.
