Description
This was a great find this am. A Great Horned Owl and 2 babies in the nest. I was really far away and used my husband's lens and a converter so, it was still a bit fuzzy but I just had to share. There really are two young but one is in front of the other. Note: They took over an osprey nest.

Wow! I didn't realize that owls built nests like this!! Pretty owl!!!

Be carefull when you walk close to the nest. GHOWs with chicks are sometimes agressive. Wear a hat so if attacked the hat will take the beating, not you ;)

Thank you for sharing. I will be sharing a humming bird which is not a good capture as it was sittin in between branches of a acacia thorn tree.
