That is an awesome capture of a Humpback, and to get it showing the shoreline as well is amazing! I studied and read about whales for so many years and I don't recall seeing a shot like this, ever! The position of the whale is also very good. I hope you pressed the shutter a few more times...and we'll see more?
Now, I'm jealous!!!!!!! WOW, what a great shot from the shore? What a sight to see, just imagine if you spent 1/4 of the time looking for whale shots than you do lava shots? you'd have some excellent ones I'm sure!!!! Whew... Aloha...
