Description
New Year's Day at the beach of Playa Acapulco, Vina del Mar. The water temperature is about the same as the temperature of the water in San Diego on Memorial Day. This place is about 400km north of the epicenter of the 8.8 magnitude quake.
This picture was taken on 1 January 2004.

Whoa thats one popular beach for sure.. in fact one can hardly see the fore shore lol. It is certainly interesting to see the gear people wear to the beach and sunbath in fully dressed, I guess thats so they don't get sun burnt hehe.. Interesting capture Sig.

What a wonderful scene! I can just feel the warmth and the breeze coming off the water. I would like to sit under a tree with an adult beverage and watch the goings on.

I would hate it there with so many people. Most of the beaches I have visited have been rather sparsely populated. I am a country boy so I love wide open spaces. People on top of people, that's for city folk!
My uncle owned a home not far from here... he always said I should come down and visit. Wish I had now... What fun on the beach!
