seems like only the birds come to visit.
It looks like animal tracks in the sand and the writer in me is intrigued by that...I think of something I once read. In Dahomey, "fas" is a method of divination: usually involving reading animal tracks in dust or sand. Fas is also one's destiny in a more literal, less ritualized "fortune teller" sense. Thinking of that and seeing animal tracks (from a bird) makes me wonder if there is some metaphysical message inscribed here...not in a literal sense but in the sense of some odd sort of calm, and even affirming poetic truth. What an image!
