Description
I was saddened to see this old globe of plastic flowers adorning a long forgotten grave. It played on my mind that the occupants of the tomb probably loved and were loved, dreamed their dreams and had full and meaningful lives. Now they were forgotten. So anyway I had a couple of ideas bouncing around inside my head about how to best present this photo. What I did was I subtly overlaid onto the glass of the old dome an image of deep space taken by the Hubble telescope. I hope I haven't infringed upon too many copyright laws with this but it just seemed appropriate and a nice thing to do for them!

The space connection is wonderful--it makes me think of light years and long, long lives. Well done!!
Fantastic work.
Fantastic shot and Very thoughtful Idea....
Yep! I can connect with this.. I have no relatives.. No kids, as such (distant step kids).. Everyone is dead! When I die, they will open the door of the Crematorium and chuck the ashes away... And that saddens me... Coz I spent all my life caring for others, and bugger all are gonna even notice I'm gone... Moan over.... Sad picture.. A shame but... it happens... Rob
Very beautiful treatment and tribute
Beautiful work and capture!
Creative idea and beautiful idea. Nice work.
Super work!
Superb capture my friend.
This is astoundingly touching work! What a tribute! There's a certain rightness to the mix of images here, and the stars are so subtle as to almost appear as if they're a natural part of the globe itself. This is stunning work, quite touching as well. I like the fact that deep space implies infinity, and well...infinity is something that all humans (alive and dead) dream of with wonder. How incredible! How touching!
Super image... subtle yet powerful work. :)
