Description
The Mist Trail takes you on a mile and a half hike to the top of Vernal Falls. About one mile in is a bridge across the Merced River where many people stop to view the falls. Another quarter of a mile up the trail is a giant granite outcropping that juts into the river. The scene is quite dramatic. Tomorrow I will tell you just how dramatic it became.

I like the way darkness encircles the image. This excellently frames the falls and adds to the effects of the dramatic granite. Love the soft grey mist at the top and the wilder spray going down. Excellent capture!
