Description
But I don't think this is Mr. Ed!! He's a horse that lives right now at our wonderful animal rescue site. I pass by it every time I walk along the river. This guy was grazing so peacefully I couldn't resist him. He was between two big pines, but cooperated nicely to let me get this shot.
Not only are there horses here, but dogs, cats, birds, occasional snakes and other strange creatures. They are well cared for, and every single one finds a home at some point.
This is #1501 for me--can't believe that number got so big. Seems like just yesterday I was starting out here, fumbling around, trying to figure out my new digital camera. Now I'm looking for my THIRD one, time does fly when you're havin fun!!
I missed 1500, just didn't even see it. So this is for Mark (anahata.c) who pointed out to me I had hit that milestone. Thank you, Mark!! Thanks also for your ears, your heart and your friendship. I am blessed.

Willlll-ber! Hehe! Beautiful capture Marilyn! Lucky you, wish I lived that close to a rescue site, I would be there every day!!! Congratulations on the 1500 milestone!
he looks like he came out of no where and spook me as he would put his big nose on my sholder. lol this is cool looking
What a gorgeous crittur!
Oh wow - congrats Marilyn on 1501!!!!! What a delightful image and gallery! Keep it up dear friend! :)
Lovely image!
This is a wonderful portrait; soft and lovely! And congrats on the milestone!
lovely shot
wonderful and sweet warm hugs, Linda
Stellar gossamer effects in this closeup image of Mr Ed, Maz, but, surely, the equine must have said something profound while you were lining up this shot.
Great shot!
Super horse head shot Marilyn and congrats for making it 1500+ thats a lotta snaps well done!
This looks like a blue-eye paint... I am particularly fond of paint ponies. They are spunky and like to play tricks. I also notice he has a fine, thick winter coat. Guess that means warm weather is still a long way off.
What a wonderful capture! He looks like a dream. Congrats on more than 1500 posts ... wow!
good choice for 1501, you have a wonderful site my friend, thanks for sharing with us
Handsome fella, glad they all gety good caring homes. 1501 wow.
I love horsies, nice shot!
Marvelous and congratulations on 1500...it sounds like a year or something and I can just hear some wine historian going on and on and on about how wonderful a vintage actually was and how no wine has ever reached the perfection of that year. As for this shot, it's marvelous and I love the intimate focus, especially in your capture of this critter's eyes. He's close enough I'd say, for you to get a good nose-full of horse, and well...that's an immensely pleasant thing for me. This is a wonderful "milestone" shot!
1500! Well you have been busy!
