This is the starboard view schematic for the Excelsior Class starship. Besides the problems I had already mentioned, this view brought one that actually forced me to redraw several areas of the ship at the end of the post production. For some reason, the detailing of the neck and the warp engine field grille was not rendering properly. Tried almost every trick in the book, but the problem persisted. I've had similar issues before, but nothing of this magnitude. Since I avoid correcting these issues in Photoshop, in order to keep the post production steps to a minimum, the only solution was to redraw those features. The end result however, one that could be rendered, is something that I feel does not accurately reflect those features on the ship, which can be seen clearly as they are in the other views. I'll no doubt have to come back to this later on, when doing the refit version of this ship.
