I could get up there with you!!!!
The girls have driven me mad on the walks today. Jasmine put 2 pheasants up & that was it she was in the hunting mode, deafness sprang on :o) At one time I was stood right next to her calling her name & she made no acknowledgement whatsoever, she just didn't hear me. So she ended her walk on the lead :o(
Meadow was in the hunting mode too, she was one end of the field & Carla 'B' was the other, wanting to head for home, I was in the middle wondering who to go & get, I settled on Carla 'B' as I knew she would have carried on to the gate we go out of!!!! Sometimes the girls can so so infuriating!!!!! But I wouldn't be without them. :o)

Barbara Jo was here today, and she said she saw you in the fields and it looked as though Jasmine was a distance from you, so it must have been when you were decidng which one to get first Ha Ha!! Great shot here, I wonder what they actually say to one another or indeed if they can communicate in their own way. Great news, Dave is home and doing okay bless him, but a bit sore. hugs Jane xxxx

All my dogs had/have perfect hearing. All go stone deaf when they are intensely focused on something. Okay .. maybe not stone deaf as there is always an ear flicker or teensy ear twitch, but most certainly into focused ignoring of anyone calling them or trying to get their attention! I think it's a matter of training, of working on a more reliable re-call. Sigh. Someday, maybe, we'll work on that. In the meantime it's either leashes here in the city or behind the fence in the yard. Out at the Hollow they seem to be more well behaved, staying close to us, even the Great Golden Hunter seems to listen most of the time, LOL!
