Description
No trip to Washington State in the winter would be complete without a trip to play in the snow. And so it was that I joined my host and his family for a trip to Mount Rainier National Park for a day tramping through frozen water. On the way we occasionally stopped to take pictures. This is Alder Lake looking south from Highway 7.

Stunning place and capture! Excellent framing of the mountains by the trees in the forefront. I love the trees further on, that seem to be marching down the slope. Beautifully done! I look forward to seeing more of Mount Rainier National Park. Tramping through frozen water...Fun? Can't wait to see, anyway!

A spectacular shot here with the effect of looking down the chute... The trees up front give a great perspective. Gotta be breathtaking to stand and look out over this place...it has that effect just looking at your photo.
