Description
This is my very favourite coffee house in Prague, with an interesting history. It opened in 1912, in the House of the Black Madonna, a department store designed by Josef Gocar, one of the great architects of Czech Cubism. It closed after WW1. 75 years later it reopened, after the proprietor, guided by surviving plans and photographs of the cafe's interior, restored the original atmosphere, using Gocar's designs for the original furniture and chandeliers.
If you're in Prague it's worth a visit, to sit in the comfortable seats, surveying the scene and sometimes there's piano music to enhance the atmosphere...and it's reached on the first floor by a wonderful staircase.

oh..beautiful!
Great POV, I love the squares of the window!
Prague is full of these little gems (though most of them aren't so little!) I love this shot. It's funny looking through a familiar window in somebody else's photograph. It's a surreal feeling. And you've captured this perfectly, I love the fluted glass light shades and the regular geometric window frames. Great work!
