Description

Back to outer space, over a neutron star! :) All done yesterday with "old shoes" (the more you walk in, the better they fit): Rendered in Bryce 4, background with Starfield Simulator, GenesisVFX and Apophysis, color correction in Photoshop6. The spaceship mesh came from more than 10 yeas ago... :) ;) The original file is 2108x3636 pixels. THE IMAGE IS BETTER IN FULL SIZE Comments and rates are welcomed! :) Luca Oleastri (a.k.a. duo, a.k.a. Innovari) website: www.innovari.it My Renderosity Store

This is really great. I love the habitat clinging tenuously to the side of the asteroid. The background is superb. Fine work! And what's this Starfield Simulator? I'll have to look into that. Seems to give some super results.

This must be a non-rotating Neutron Star on it's way to a black hole. It must be in it's last gasp to burn so bright, since they are usually a dark red about to go out, trying to burn iron. Of course if they suck in a comet or such, they'd burn bright for a couple of minutes. I like the ship, even if a decade old. It is very cool! The habitat on the asteroid is very nicely done with that "Last gasp of a dying civilization" feel to it. Grea work!

Great reuse of an old mesh I think all my meshes from ten years ago are gone with the wind. The ones from 5 years ago are floating around. Great use of Apophysis.

That is fantastic! I really like the terrain your domed-city is on, the ship looks cool, and that star scape and neutron star are incredible. I'd imagine that area of space wouldn't be to nice for fragile organic life-forms, though ;)
