Worked a little on this shot to make it stand more out. A little moody, but I like it myself. :-)

Excellent pic of my tormentors in the garden!
That is one lesson I know all to well having the name Rose and growing up with a family that teases lol Nice post. I like the black and white :-)
Yep! Natures way of saying "Don't touch!" I like the feel of it in B&W, excellent capture! :)
It's a great shot and excellent presentation

natures barbed wire
great photo!!!!!!
It's very interesting, how they run irregularly around the branch. Excellent detail and postwork!
Wonderful mono work! This is excellent.
fantastic image - love the b/w
excellent postwork, delicate but enough to coax the inner character out of the rose branch. And your b&w is beautiful and 'moody'. In this capture, the thorns look like little sail boats, or like the smokestacks on ocean liners. They're very expressive. And the background is faded just enough to be a "backdrop," but with the criss-cross of branches still very visible--which is nice. Somehow it's right for the weather in these parts: Dramatic & sharp with gray landscapes. Very fine work on a very simple thing. Perfect for b&w. (I never knew why we call it b&w, when it's grays as well. And it's not monotone either. Ah well. We get used to those terms & they stick...)
These look so sharp and I know they have a knack of leaping out at you as you pass but they are too lovely not to grow. An excellent photo.
"Every rose has it's thorns...yea it does!" Reminds me of the song! Great shot!
