Description
This photo was taken at Tirimbina Natural Preserve in Sarapiqui, Costa Rica. I believe this is a Boulenger's Snouted Treefrog and it is pretty weird looking - what do you think?
Hope you have a wonderful new year full of blessings from above!

What a beauty! I love creatures like these, for me they're cute and intriguing and so shamelessly creative in their appearance. I love the details, especially this little critter's eye. Wonderful work!
Well it certainly does a good job of blending into the tree. I'm surprised you saw it. Excellent capture. : )
strange indeed, good old mother nature she sure comes up with something to surprise us.
a camouflage-frog! Very interesting animal!!!! Great photo!!!
wonderful frog and capture!!
Remarkable disruptive colouration!
WOW!!! That is a step beyond weird. Outstanding macro. A must ZOOM to see all the details and colors. Dana
A gorgeous capture. That mossy tree is the perfect place to record it. The colour and texture of both are wonderfully matched. A shame you lost a little of his leg at the top of the picture.
