I am sitting here with mixed feelings as 2009 is breathing it's last stutterings breaths... In many ways it was an "Annus Horribilis" for me and I must admit that I do not mind to see the hind end of it. The problem is just that so much hurt and pain will be carried with us into the new year... and much of it is so completely unnecessary!
My wish though is that the light will shine on you and me in 2010! May it be a happy, healthy, creative and blessed year for us all!

Ah, Carin, I know just how you feel. Try and leave the bad stuff behind and look for the light in this new year. One very good thing about 2009---our friendship--a treasure and a blessing!!

Yes, 2009 has had lots of sorrow and pain and unnecessary troubles for me too, last of them just in the last few days, so I can relate to your thoughts and feelings. Nevertheless I am wishing you lots of hopeful sunny rays of little pleasures and bright and joyful moments to come!
