Description

I would like to wish a merry xmas to the whole community, the staff, the vendors, the artists, the generous people who give their work as freebies away and also the very precious visitors to my galleries. thank you soo much for the support and the inspirations. May everyone have love and peace and health. …………………. I started to build the xmas scenes a few days ago,and surprisingly it brought back some of the better memories. While we have been living in Luxembourg with Utes kids all around and nearby,we have been active in the village club and every year on xmas-eve we had a beverage stand with hot red wine for when the people came out of midnight mass. Well some had already a few before going in the church and then a few more on the way back home hehehe. It was fun but cold I can tell you freezing my toenails off and other extremities. Rofl. I did set a couple of sceneries ,with a lot of santas around .

Yule or Yule-tide is a winter festival that was initially celebrated by the historical Germanic peoples as a pagan religious festival, though it was later absorbed into, and equated with, the Christian festival of Christmas. The festival was originally celebrated from late December to early January on a date determined by the lunar Germanic calendar. The festival was placed on December 25 when the Christian calendar (Julian calendar) was adopted. Some historians claim that the celebration is connected to the Wild Hunt[1] [2] or was influenced by Saturnalia, the Roman winter festival[3]. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yuletide i thought i post this. as piece of information.
