Description
December 1989 and I’m on the road again, this time to Onizuka Air Force Station in Sunnyvale, California for satellite launch rehearsal.
The great thing about this is that the company gives me a rental car and my weekends are free. One rainy Saturday I’m driving down the coast road. North of Big Sur is the Point Sur Lighthouse. The rain is coming down in buckets so I pull over to the side of the road and roll down my window and shoot.

Fantastic shot!
I can feel the moisture in the air. I like the way the ocean fades into the sky. The fog and the lighthouse is a somber but beautiful testament to the dangers of the sea. Excellent atmosphere and image!

This picture is beautiful. No wonder there is a lighthouse there, in that fog you can not tell where the sky begins and the ocean leaves off. Nothing stands between the sailors and the rocks but the lonely little lighthouse. It's a dramatic and beautiful scene.
