Description
South of the Cape Canaveral Air Force Base is another wildlife preserve. It was a right of passage that newcomers would be brought by the old timers to visit this place at least once.
Coconuts-On-The-Beach is a bar and grill that sits right on the sand. The newcomer would be filled up with burgers, beer and a few Jell-O shots and taken out to the patio to watch the show. Every weekend during the summer months Coconuts-On-The-Beach would sponsor a bikini contest. The weekly winners would meet at the end of August for a grand finale sponsored by one or more major companies. The winner of that contest received a contract from a New York modeling agency. I soon stopped attending these events since it felt like being on the wrong side of a candy store window.
Oh, and to answer your question, the young lady was the winner that weekend. Notice her colorful plumage.
