Description
The Tower Bridge spans the River Thames in London, England. It is a bascule bridge, suspension bridge. Total length is 244m (801-ft) and the longest span is 61m (200-ft). The clearance is 8.6m (28-ft). It was opened on 30 June 1894.
This picture was taken in Sepember 1991 and later scanned.

Lovely shot! the tower bridge is one my favorite world sites and definitely the one I like best in London. Took many pictures of it myself. :)

And back in the mists of time a businessman (out to make a buck!) tried to buy what he thought was London Bridge..... (HE thought it was this bridge.... ) Like the City of London was going to sell this landmark....!!!! Anyway, as it happens, London Bridge was almost worn out... So they sold it... but the guy was still thinking he was buying THIS bridge! Imagine his epic disappointment when this didn't arrived in the US!!! He NEVER EVEN came over to check what he was buying....Oh well.... That aside! Great shot Sig.... Obviously I've seen, been over this sight... There is a post up for you! Rob
