Description
I was over in the Wakodahatchee Wetlands and spotted this Green Heron walking along these exposed roots. We are in a drought and the water levels are way down. The heron is trying to sneak up on some sort of bug. As s/he gets close enough to snap up the bug, the bug jumps up on the heron and hides under it’s wing. Thought this was a cute pose as s/he tries to find the bug.
Thanks for stopping by, taking a peak and for all your previous comments and favs.

Oh wow! I knew this was a great shot, with the color and reflections, but I didn't know how great until I looked on zoom. Wonderful capture of this moment and expression!
Great colors in the Heron. Found the texture of the roots very interesting too.
That is magical, Dana! What a great shot!!
Fantastic capture! This is a wonderful 'action' shot. The colour of the bird is beautiful but so is the water - and what sort of root is as interesting as that.
Great capture and nice title.
