A Bountry Hunter by trade in the first ever exposure I had to AD&D 2 Edition. My GM had bastardized the system after years of play before I started. Gun, it seems, had been introduced slowly by some off world source. So the level of technology on the world was a mix. The rifle, although a great boom, was incredibly expensive to own and shoot. In game terms, we are talking 50,000 gold to own, and about a gold to shoot. So in real world terms, that's approximately $500,000 for the gun, and every shot is a $100. It was an interesting character. A Half Drow is all I really remember of him from 25 years ago. I know he died a slow death by the Spider Queen Loth when my dice turned on me. I don't even remember his real name anymore - just his AKA. CROW
