Description
it is for this monday... The "Gole della Breggia" are located near Lugano. The geological park along the river Breggia is not very big, running along about 1.5 km in the valley the river formed. But you can see an amazing display of geological history dating back to 80 000 years.
Numerous pieces of evidence of ancient seas, layers extremely rich in fossils, remains of underwater landslides, witnesses to climatic changes in eras long before man appeared on Earth.
It's a fascinating and quiet walk through the woods along the river and of course there are some spactacular views to take a shot.
