Description

Another view along my hike from the other day, one of my quiet get aways. I was lucky enough to see an owl swoop down in front of me into a tree, I just stood there in awe at the sight, then after locating him in the tree, I was able to get a few shots, but nothing close up but still a thrill for me. We have plans tonight, to take my daughter Erin and some friends to visit a Corn Maze in our area, each year they change the design the maze is made into this year it is a Cow !! ☺ Thanks for your support and interest, I really appreciate you all. thumb_1965335.jpg

Beautiful. I am having oral surgery this week. So I will be slow for a while.. I will also be thinking of everyone at Rendo, and missing You all.

I love the blue in this and how the water draws you into the scene. I love how the leaves are scattered on those mossy rocks. Great photo!

Beautiful autumn capture. Leaves all over the rocks makes it extra special. Very well caught. Dana

Another beauty! Great POV, depth and capture of the light! That sighting of the owl would thrill me too. A cow shaped corn maze sounds like a lot of fun. I see you've posted another picture, so you got out OK. Whew!

Very nicely composed, got the balance just right. If you want to be picky it's that the foreground rocks are out of focus and the water is a little too blue. I'd suggest shooting with an aperture of f/22 and focussing about a third of the way into the scene, and if you can, use a graduated ND filter over the top half of the image where the light is strongest, to balance out the exposure. You'd get a nice effect on the water as well. OBviously, if you're out for a walk then you wont be carting a tripod and filters around and f/22 will be too slow for a hand-held shot. You can only do what's possible with the equipment you have. The composition though you can control, and that is spot on, as is having the eye to compose the scene in the first place. Looks a great place for walk.
