Description
Hey all. I know some of you suggested the impracticality of the shield on the saddle, and I certainly do agree. Though it is angled a bit. I had though about making it more extreme, but figured in the end, the practicality of riding a dragon was about the same. Bad enough riding a horse a top speed, but a dragon, unless you have goggles you aren't seeing anything. And there are height limitations too, because the rider, at some heights would asphyxiate due to low levels of oxygen. But, the shield is not manditory, it is an add on prop to the saddle. There are two of them, one with a place to rest the lance and another without that place. Either way, I do like the way it looks, and probably wouldn't have bothered had I not seen the dragon saddles in Lair from Sony. Anyways, I added the helm thingy as a way to use Reins, which are also optional. I figured that's better than a bit on a typical bridal because of the membrane in the dragon's mouth. That would probably tear paintfully, or cause other problems for the dragon. So, inspired by the design for the Felbeasts from LOTR I went with a helmet. I think it works, but still toying with it. It's rigged, and works nice with the jaw and has no steel bending erroniously. The horns can still be posed, though the steel from the helm limits that at the moment. I may be able to fix that though.
Anyways, here too is an attempt to make the lication less than earthly, or at least less conventional. A little more fantasy, wierd place. Hope you like.
Thanks for looking, and for the input! I don't shrug off critisism. I always welcome it.
Oh, also, there will be bluish textures to go with the armor, and the armor will hae some more brownish textures too, to work with each other.
Cheers

Very cool and creative image! Excellent work!!
Funny things, I was going to send you a note regarding making a saddle, and then look at your last couple of pieces lol. Way ahead of me. While I don't really dig the shield to be honest, a dragon saddle is a very cool concept and something that needs to be explored. Definitely interested in this project.
WOW! I really like this image! Great colors and composition, a winner for sure.
