Description
The church of St. Peter at Podimore a small village in Somerset. Dates from the early 14th century, it is a grade 1 listed building the tower is in 4 stages the lowest is square the other three are octagonal. I found this church while researching my family tree, my great, great grandmother was married here in 1823.

Your churches look like castles, maybe this is the reason why I like them so much. Or is it the type of stones? Maybe, I don`t know. Pure history places! Thanks for sharing!

Beautiful church and capture! Lovely rich color and detail. When I was in Cambridgeshire about 30 years ago, a friend and I would drive until we saw a steeple and stop and visit. We found some wonderful churches with exquisite interior wooden carvings. It was kind of like a treasure hunt. Researching family history is a lot of fun and a bit like a treasure hunt too. My brother-in-law is very good at it and has found my given name back two more generations in my family tree recently.
You just can't beat England for views like this. Wonderful composition!
