Description
The vernacular name 'tjienkerientjee' is due to the squeaking sound produced then the stems are drawn across one another.
Wow! Have just invested in a "Field Guide to Fynbos' - well worth the money!
Yep, I am still stuck in the mud a Waylands...
For another week or so of submissions!
Off to a kite festival!
Have fun,
Clive

WONDERFUL! great shot!
Another gorgeous flower displayed so wonderfully. I look forward to some kite photos next.
This is such a beautiful flower, and of course your photography is stunning. You are a master at this! I tried translating "tjienkerientjee," splitting it up every way I could think of (my translator doesn't do compound words) but I still couldn't figure it out. Whatever that sound is, it goes along with a lovely blossom.
gorgeous!
Could this be the most stunning and delicate yet! I doubt it somehow!! Brilliant.. the master of the plant shots... :-) Rob
