Description
A debate is going to rage in the Photography Forum, which is a very good thing. Otherwise, what does a Forum stand for? The issue is:what is a photo and what a 2D image? While those interested in it should drop their opinions in the Forum, here I'm content to say that I labeled this post a Photo manipulation. After some time spent in the postwork of a shot I wasn't perfectly happy with, the outcome is a kind of tapestry work, with a velvety texture as if embroidered with silk threads. It can also be seen as a very thin bas-relief. Hence: photo manipulation or 2D? To you the hard sentence! ;-)
Thank you for your kind comments.

........it is in any case BEAUTIFUL! I personally regard the photos and photo work only under the aspect whether they do to my eye well or not! Everyone cannot have a camera for many thousand euros or dollar. Or also not the money for appropriate working on programs. And: the beauty lies in the eye of the viewer!!!!!!
Marvelous texturing here
Its manipulation, without doubt. But its also mixed media, because here is a strong digital influence used to get this colorful result! Well done! RS
no matter the opinions on what is what, it turned out really well Sandra
the result is terrific... very attractive! superb work.
Wow...just wow! Outstanding creativity. Very impressive.
buen efecto.
Beautiful Sandra!!
Lovely photo manipulation Sandra, you always do nice work
Great effects, I really like this Sandra
J'adorele texture de ton canard...une sorte de tapisserie aux fils d'or (comme tu expliques bien).
In un modo o nell'altro per me rimane un bel lavoro, poi ognuno decida come farlo.
Excellent shot, fantastic colors and details
Beau traitement pour ce canard. Pour moi la 2D fait fi du naturel et de l' authentique : seuls le résultat et l' idée finale comptent. Alors que la photographie, au contraire, veut conserver voire sublimer ces 2 critères (Nature, journalisme...).
I just like it whatever it's labeled. Great colors and texture. Well done.
Wonderful, Sandra!!! I shall now move my last post from 2D and put it in here! A fascinating debate, eh? I really LOVE this work!
Very nice image. Excellent post work! This turned out great. I would have also placed this in Photo Manipulation.
How about Convergent Media, as in the convergence of electronic manipulation and photography, and if you printed this out on handmade paper, and then did some additional work with pen and ink.... labels are silly, it's all about expression and process. Let future art historians deal with the convergence of media one sees in this era. cheers, like the work, looks great.
Excellent imagination!!!
Outstanding creativity!!!
Great job! My 2 cents will be a the forum :)
Photo manip! Cool idea!
This is really wonderful my dear friend, excellent textures and colors!
I just call it beautiful art! Beauty is beauty.
Lovely work which ever they want to label it. If it was taken with a camera I'd say its a photo even if you end up playing with it in PS or PSP or another photo program. To me 2D is paint on canvas or straight painting in PS or PSP etc. Oh well anyway, this is beautifully nice duck Sandra well done!!
very beautiful and lovely photo sandra!!
wonderful artwork!!!!!!!!!!
It's a lovely photo that you turned into a fine piece of art, Sandy!
What a fantastic result. Very beautiful colors and textures. Excellent work.
