Description

B&W and Colour Endsheet and Flyleaf Illustrations - B&W probably the more usual for a mid century story book, but sometimes not! M3's, a Daz Octopus for head, and some prop wings. Set up simply in Vue as a scene, lit, and modestly textured. Rendered out for postwork. Thanks for looking.

The head, wings and tentacles conjures Cthulhu thoughts immediately. Let's hope that the hooded protagonist has plenty of sanity points to burn!

I prefer the B&W one! But both are beautiful and really dynamic!

This more of The Green Lama story, yes? For me, the gray-tone pic is more evocative of pulp fantasy fiction. I want to read the story. Color slows the need to find out more: it's all there.

It's difficult to choice which is the best ! The two illustrations are different but both are fine !! In the coloured version the winged octopussian creature is more present and impressive, I think, and its red notes contrast with the Green Lama robe ! They show off each other !!...Excellent work !!
