Description
Three Sisters of Glen Coe
Named as Gearr Aonach (Short Ridge) and Aonach Dubh (Black Ridge) and Beinn Fhada (Long Hill) these three steeply sided ridges extend into the glen above Glencoe.
The glen is also known as the Hidden or Lost Valley and it is believed that in earlier times the valley was used by members of Clan Macdonald to hide stolen cattle.
The "Three Sisters" are an imposing site as one enters the glen from Rannoch Moor and whilst looking rather majestic on a bright sunny day this scene shows the sisters as the wind and rain move in from the west shrouding the mountains in low cloud and mist.
As a note on the changeable weather we had on this trip, this shot was taken only a couple of hours my last submission of Kilchurn Castle

Awesome sence of magic! Well done :)
I expect to find a group of harpies on the other side of that rock pile... The mist and the clouds bring such mystery and magic... impending doom and heightened dread... Outstanding to the point of stellar! :-)
Looks like a scene from a movie! It is really spectacular! What a great place, just beautiful.
Absolutley stunning - I'll play Mendelssohn's Scottish Symphony and get lost in this landscape.
