Bryce Tree Lab for tree and shrubs. PSP touch up. JPEG resizing fuzzed the maple leaves.

Looks almost realistic. There is one thing though: a bonsai is kept miniature by forming it, but its leaves are not miniature. The leaves should have been bigger to make the tree look dwarved.
Thank you for the hint. I tried this picture again, with larger leaves in the Bryce Tree Editor, but the rendering looked very false, no depth to the leaf shadows on the branches. The shadows were green which was confusing, too. I'll have to play with the Tree Editor more.
