TG 2 with added atmo clip file from choronr...thanks Hoover man...er...Bob :)
World Machine enhanced "Grand Canyon" DEM terrain
PSP7 postwork level adjustments and yes...two LunarCell Moons because the TG moon came out jag-ed....some brushing of the lower sand storm for effects. Its not perfect but you can see what I was trying to do....
How do you adjust the terrain height in TG2. This terrain was very high and the cliffs steep...when I tried to adjust the height TG2 crashed...luckly I had saved (many times) and left it as is....when I applied Bob's atmo clip file the clouds were low like this so I made them yellow and sandy.....also why the jaggy TG2 planet? ....Any suggestions, help, teamwork requests...yeah...I need em :)
Edit: The large moon is from Frieso...give credit where credit is due :) Thanks man!

Cool! ")
Ok; open the 'node view' and go to the 'terrain'. You find 'heightfield generate' (or, in your case (heightfield load). Right click on either one of those to find 'heightfield adjust'. Open it and select the height you want (use the slider; or, type in the number - you may play with this until you find the height you want. As for the 'jaggies' you experienced with the moon and terrain, find the 'Anti-aliasing' and set it higher than what you now have. You should have a much smoother moon and terrain. Regarding your dust clouds, I would suggest you try lowering the cloud density by 1/2 or more and reduce edge sharpness. You may have it looking more like a real dust storm. I also would lower the altitude of the cloud somewhat. No need to continue using Lunercell moons when you can do a pretty good job with planets with TG2. Finally, do you sell vacuum cleaners at Lowes?
Cool work Mark; if you go to the heightfield, you can add an operator for several adustments including height. What quality are you setting the atmo at? Both planet 2 and planet one settings make a difference. Crashing...yes, it's caused my lower parts to pucker several times in the tech preview. Just keep workin' it man- you'll be wowing us in no time.
this would look awesome animated.
Very nice! The realism of TG2 is worth your struggles with it, in my opinion.
Cool!
Wonderful billows of sand from that sandstorm. Great feel of impending danger. Wonderful terrain and moon. Really cool scifi work.
very well down
Great & cool!
I like it Mark. Great stuff Can't offer 'techie' advice which others above have helped you with. However, aesthetically and realistically, my own experience of sandstorms in The Gulf is that they come at you as a Wall -- not as clearly defined 'clouds' ........ But, hey!! That was here on Earth, not on Sirus :)
Wow ! Even in TG2 you get that "off-world" look ! Great scene Mark ! Keep it up man !
I've sent you a "sandstorm" clip file extracted from my "Phalli of Min" render which you may find useful. I'm sure Bob is right with the the amended AA settings to ameliorate the jaggedness of your planet. It could also be that your displacements on the planet are too big. Lowering that sandstorm cloud is also a good move. It's getting better all the time (with a little help from your friends). Sorry, that Beatles line just kinda popped into my vacuous head.
Can't provide any critique, because I just like that picture :)
Interesting cloud shape!
Awesome...!!!
Great image Mark, Image like this should put air in your tires !! Very nice
Awesome scene! Excellent low clouds, lighting and terrain work. Very impressive, mark.
now that's what I'm talkin about!...freakin awesome job! another way to restrict the height of the terrain is shown by Matt in this thread over at Planetside Forums: http://forums.planetside.co.uk/index.php?topic=7548.15 hope it helps...keep up the good work!
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!! Definitely another world here Mark. In awe yes, I am... so far for you to have come, and I love the terrain, surfacing and those awesome clouds. It fits all of it.
Boy, that front's rushing in.
A very threatening looking place! Fantastic work!
yikes, run like hell !!!
Thumbs up my man!
Excellent.
