This image's "simplicity" is the foundation of its grace and beauty. If you added a person it might become "charming" but it would lose its strength. It is a bold choice to not add something animated to a scene as this, such as a child or a dog. The gradually converging lines of the tracks command our attention and steer our gaze off into the distance where we discern a small opening in the trees and can subjectively imagine what lies beyond. The overall vision works very well, Patty. As a child I loved to walk the rural railroad tracks, some of which looked very much like these. Naturally, I find this a very touching image. Terry
