Nice work, but the ape pose looks more like he's grooming the man than threatening him.
Nice simulation of a period gouache painting ! Amazing how much our knowledge of gorilla behavior has grown in our lifetimes. When we were kids, gorillas were hairy berserkers who could happily tear apart any Great White Hunter who got near them. Nowadays we know them more as victims. For example, here we could see the ape safely subduing the man by immobilizing the arm with the knife. Too bad the attacker's mate is treacherously sneaking up behind him!
